Zoning & Graphics

NWCA Zoning Committee

The Northwest Civic Association Board of Trustees makes recommendations to the Columbus City Council on all rezonings, Council variances, and graphics variances for properties within our service area.

We hear up to two cases at each of our monthly meetings. Residents are encouraged to attend and voice their support or opposition to the application.

After submitting their application to the City, applicants work with the Zoning Committee which then provides a recommendation to the trustees. The trustees then vote on the proposal based on a public presentation of the request, community comments, and the Zoning Committee recommendation.

City Columbus Development Commission

The Development Commission meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 at the Michael B Coleman Government Center in the Public Hearing Room (2nd Floor), 111 N. Front Street. Parking across the street is free. Residents are encouraged to attend and express their concerns and/or support.
