Lots of Orange Barrels in NW Columbus

You may have noticed a LOT of orange barrels and detours in our area lately. Here are the announcements about work being done on West Case Road and Sawmill Road:

W. Case Rd Lane Closure July 13 – July 21

Westbound Only Traffic Allowed

W. Case Rd. will be reduced to one lane westbound only between Lynnmore Dr. and Dierker Rd. The closure is necessary as construction continues on Columbus Recreation and Parks’ new park on W. Case.

For eastbound traffic, drivers should follow the posted detour and travel southbound on Sawmill Rd., eastbound on Bethel Rd. and northbound on Dierker Rd. to get back to eastbound W. Case Rd.

And meanwhile on Sawmill:

As part of one of our annual street resurfacing projects, Sawmill is getting repaved. The work is being done later in the evening and overnight to minimize traffic impacts. The roadway was milled to remove the old pavement, and crews are starting to resurface. The project limits are from Bethel Rd to SR 161/W. Dublin-Granville Rd.

This week and the week of July 20, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, crews will be resurfacing Sawmill Rd. from Bethel Rd. to W. Dublin-Granville Rd, weather dependent. Drivers should watch for lane restrictions along this section of Sawmill as crews lay asphalt in multiple layers to complete the new roadway surface.

Try to have patience and think about how nice the roads will be when completed.
